Established in 1995, Exigo® was born out of a passion for fitness and wellbeing to become a leading manufacturer of strength and combat sports equipment. Originating from Manchester and still to this day all our steel products are designed, manufactured, and tested from our factory in the UK.

As a brand we wanted to put Made In Britain back on the map and bring British manufacturing back to the forefront of the strength and combat equipment markets. With Exigo® you know it has been tested and is guaranteed for a lifetime, we don’t just say it is the best we prove it and back it. Your strength is our commitment.

Our Story

Founder and Managing Director Darren Golden started the business in 1995 as Golden`s Gym Equipment, the precursor to Exigo®. Originally making brackets and rings for boxing, but as a keen member of the strength community, he soon evolved the business and his passion for design led him to taking strength machinery he was using himself in the gym and making the improvements he knew that needed to be implemented. A&D Sports, a UK manufacturer of strength equipment was born.

Darren didn’t want to just manufacture gym equipment he wanted to redefine the industry, he was still dissatisfied with the current quality and function of equipment available. A desire to improve athlete performance and product innovation from what was available in gyms at the time. Exigo® began tinkering, redesigning and challenging common designs and practices of the time. Leading the way to being the original designers of many innovative products.

Our Products

Historically, we designed the original punch bag bracket with pull up bar for Argos in 98, the modern versions of adjustable speedball platforms, folding brackets, boxing rings and the ultimate style of heavy brackets all back in the 90’s that are still used today. Since then we have gone on to develop and innovate our strength range to the modern offering seen today in places such as JD Gyms. Sleek, functioning and durable.

Our modern day range of products have been designed and developed based on extensive product research, in-depth product knowledge and a great understanding of our markets. We use cutting-edge innovations, premium materials and superior manufacturing processes to create unprecedented products that are made to last. We are always innovating, improving and changing, we continually challenge ourselves to do better.
