Exigo® Partners with Gavin Laird to Bring GLS Equipment to a Wider Audience

Gavin Laird partners with Exigo®

Gavin Laird chooses Exigo® as the British manufacturing partner for the next chapter of GLS.

Exigo® is proud to announce a new partnership with strength coach and equipment developer Gavin Laird, founder of GLS, which will see selected GLS machines launched under the Exigo® brand.

The partnership brings together Gavin’s years of coaching experience and understanding of strength equipment with Exigo’s British engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

For Gavin, choosing the right manufacturing partner was about more than simply finding someone capable of producing the machines.

He wanted a manufacturer he could trust; and British manufacturing was an important part of that decision.

Having spent years working with athletes and coaches, Gavin has developed GLS equipment around the demands of serious strength training. The machines are designed with a clear understanding of how equipment needs to perform in real-world training environments.

As the opportunity arose to bring GLS equipment to a wider market, Gavin wanted to work with a manufacturer that shared his standards and could produce the equipment in Britain.

He chose Exigo.

“I wanted a manufacturer I could trust, and British manufacturing was important to me. Exigo gave me the confidence that we could take these machines forward without compromising the standards and thinking behind them.”

- Gavin Laird, GLS

Exigo designs, engineers and manufactures strength equipment in Britain, with its Rochdale facility providing the engineering, manufacturing and production capabilities required to bring Gavin’s equipment concepts into the Exigo range.

The partnership brings together two complementary areas of expertise.

Gavin brings the coaching experience, practical knowledge and understanding of what serious strength athletes and coaches need from their equipment.

Exigo brings the British engineering, manufacturing and product development capability to take those ideas from development through to production.

“We’re really excited to be working with Gavin and to bring GLS equipment into the Exigo range.

Gavin has a very clear understanding of what he wants from a piece of equipment and, importantly, why. His approach comes from years of coaching and working with athletes.

That made the partnership a natural fit for us.''

- Darren Golden, Owner & Managing Director of Exigo

For Exigo, the partnership represents more than simply adding new machines to the product range.

It is an opportunity to combine real-world coaching experience with British engineering and manufacturing, creating equipment with a clear purpose on the gym floor.

The first GLS machines will launch under the Exigo® brand in September 2026, with further products planned as the partnership develops.

The first Exigo® x GLS machine will be revealed soon.
